The Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) and the University of Naples Suor Orsola Benincasa (UNISOB) have signed a Scientific Collaboration Agreement aimed at the recognition of academic qualifications and the development of joint activities in the fields of research and teaching. The agreement, signed by the Rector of UNISOB, prof. Lucio d'Alessandro, and the Magnificent Rector of UPS, prof. don Andrea Bozzolo, stems from the desire of both institutions to strengthen academic dialogue between the Italian and Pontifical university systems.
The agreement aims to:
- Facilitate the recognition of academic qualifications, in accordance with the decree of February 9, 2024, issued by the Ministry of Universities and Research;
- Implement simplified procedures for the partial or total recognition of study programs;
- Develop joint activities in research, conferences, seminars, and joint publications;
- Promote student mobility and the exchange of experiences between the two universities.
The agreement establishes specific correspondences between the Bachelor's and Licentiate degrees issued by UPS and the three-year and master's degrees of the Italian university system.
Details of the qualifications included in the agreement, as of today, can be consulted in the attached file.
Through this initiative, UNISOB and UPS strengthen their commitment to building an increasingly integrated university system open to international cooperation, offering new growth opportunities for students and faculty members.
