The Pro Universitate Don Bosco Association was founded in 2009 to support students of the Pontifical Salesian University through scholarships and study grants during their academic journey. The activities are aimed at those, especially the vulnerable, who face particular economic difficulties and/or social hardship, and who are unable to start or complete their university studies.
The Association also commits to raising and/or sourcing funds for the development of research projects in the fields of psychology, pedagogy, theology, philosophy, communication sciences, and the Third Sector.
It also supports conferences, training events, and activities that have particular cultural and social significance.
It is important not to leave anyone behind and to work together to ensure that tomorrow’s society has qualified experts and professionals who can work for the common good.
Inspired by Don Bosco’s educational project, we are committed to providing students of all nationalities with an academic education that is open to new social and cultural scenarios, always attentive to every aspect of the human person.

MATTEO MANCIA Scholarship - academic year 2024/2025 (published on 1 August 2024)
Matteo Mancia was a student in the Faculty of Educational Sciences, in his third year of Social Pedagogy, who tragically passed away on March 13, 2024, due to a road accident. Always active and involved in all university initiatives, he was known for his smile, helpfulness, and enthusiasm in engaging with everyone. From the moment he enrolled at UPS, he became involved in University Pastoral activities, as a member of the sports team, and for two years, he coached children at the Don Bosco Nuovo Salario Sports Association at the Parish of Santa Maria della Speranza, adjacent to UPS.
The Pro Universitate Don Bosco ETS Association, in collaboration with Matteo’s family and friends, as well as university colleagues (who wrote the call for applications), has established a scholarship that will provide study opportunities for a student enrolling in the first year of the Bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences for the academic year 2024/2025. The amount will cover the full cost of tuition fees.
Among the requirements that will be evaluated, great importance will be given to the commitment that the candidate can document in social, educational-sporting, and community service activities.
