The Third Sector now represents one of the main drivers of the economy, work, and society in which we live, certainly with new opportunities and in continuous dialogue with Public Administration and Businesses. It thus moves a significant portion of the economy but with the social vocation that distinguishes it and makes it an indispensable tool for daily living. Examples include hospitals, schools, sports, and countless structures supporting the most vulnerable and weakest.
The new training proposal aims to prepare qualified operators and managers to face the challenges related to the recent reform of the Third Sector. It aims to train professionals who work or will work in the world of Voluntary Organizations, Social Promotion Associations, Foundations, Second Level Networks, and Third Sector entrepreneurial realities, such as social enterprises and social cooperatives.
Particular attention will also be paid to those operators, managers, and economists who work or will work in the world of religious entities, which through their works carry out activities of general interest also through the establishment of specific “branches” dedicated to the Third Sector.
The novelty of the new degree course in the Third Sector is to develop, in a single path, knowledge and skills in the culture of the common good and volunteering, in administration, management and reporting, in social planning and fundraising, in the tax and financial planning of entities, skills that are traditionally offered through separate academic paths.

The degree course
The training path is structured as follows:
- First Cycle: Bachelor’s Degree in “Management and Law of ETS and Social Economy”
- Second Cycle: Master’s Degree in “Ethics, Economy, and Law of the Third Sector”, with various specializations (both in-person and online):
Special attention is given to the connection between academic training and the operational and managerial models of religious and third sector entities, thanks to an internship program that involves students in the activities of the most important third sector realities and the works carried out by religious entities.
