On Thursday, February 20 2025, at 4:00 PM, the Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical Salesian University will host a round table dedicated to the ethical thought of Immanuel Kant, with a particular focus on his Doctrine of Virtue (1797), presented in the new translation by Carmelo Alessio Meli and Francesca Fantasia for Mimesis.
The event will be a unique opportunity to explore the fundamental themes of this Kantian text, thanks also to the presentation of the Dossier of the Salesianum 2024/4 journal, designed as a tool for in-depth reading. Renowned scholars of Kantian thought will participate, analyzing the key concepts of the Doctrine of Virtue, offering a critical and updated reflection on one of the most significant aspects of modern ethics. The meeting promises a rich and stimulating debate, ideal for scholars, students, and philosophy enthusiasts.
