Awaiting the Holy Christmas, the Koinè Choir, directed by Maestro Alberto De Sanctis and accompanied on the piano by Maestro Francesco Capogreco, will lift songs of joy to the Saviour with the Christmas Harmonies Concert. The concert, promoted and organized by the Famiglie di Angeli Association, chaired by dr. Enza Tripaldi, will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 8:00 PM in the Aula Paolo VI of the Pontifical Salesian University.
The first part of the concert is entrusted to talented young musicians: pianists Roman Barabakh and Gabriele Di Pirro, who will perform music by Verdi and Bizet, in a piano four-hands transcription by Roman Barabakh. In line with the educational and formative spirit of the association, this artistic moment aims to demonstrate that young people can have fun and enriching experiences without resorting to "risk." In the second part of the concert, the Koinè Choir will perform pieces by Alfonso Maria de Liguori, Fauré, Molfino, De Marzi, Gomez, as well as a selection of traditional Christmas songs.
The concert will also be an opportunity to remember the young victims of road accidents and offer comfort to their families, highlighting not only the cultural value of music and its "therapeutic" potential but also its social value. The event also has a charitable purpose: the funds raised will be used to finance a scholarship established by the Pro Universitate Don Bosco ETS Association in memory of Matteo Mancia, a young university student tragically killed in a road accident last March.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Pontifical Salesian University for the hospitality and to the Pro Universitate Don Bosco Association for establishing the scholarship in memory of a young road accident victim.
Admission to the concert is by free offering.

Famiglie di Angeli Association
Active since 2002, it is made up of professionals and volunteers who work in the social sector. Its mission is to promote initiatives to improve road safety, with the goal of preventing accidents and preserving life. The association specifically targets young people, conducting informative and educational interventions in schools on legality, prevention, and responsible lifestyles, to raise awareness among future drivers about the importance of safe driving. The statistics on road accidents in Italy are alarming: in 2023, according to ACI-Istat, there were 166,525 accidents, with 3,039 victims and 224,634 injured. The association works to achieve the safety goals set by the European Union: zero road fatalities by 2050 and a 50% reduction in serious injuries. The association's professionals also offer psychological and human support to those facing the pain of losing a loved one. The association promotes studies and research, publishes texts on social topics, and organizes conferences, training, and refresher courses for sector operators. It also engages in the creation of cultural and social aggregation events, such as concerts and community gatherings.
