Academic Organs

Academic Senate

It is a collegial body, an expression of university co-responsibility in the promotion of the UPS identity. It expresses its opinion on the revision of the Statutes and the Order of Studies, and establishes the Regulations; it examines questions concerning the various Faculties; it decides on new curricula, including those of the affiliated and aggregated institutes; it gives its opinion on the promotion of lecturers and approves the adjuncts; it approves the budgets and economic plans concerning the administration of UPS.

University Council

The University Council (CUN), consisting of the Vice-Rectors and Deans, is convened and chaired by the Rector at least four times during the year and collaborates with him in animating the University Community (Statutes, art. 15).

Faculty Council

It is a collegial body that, in line with general and specific legislative texts, regulates matters relating to the running of the Faculty. It is chaired by the Dean.

Faculty Board of Lecturers

It is a collegial body that, in line with the general and specific legislative texts, performs various functions, including: the indication of the trio for the appointment of the new Dean; the examination of common academic issues; the appointment of teachers for the various academic bodies and commissions; the definition of the Faculty's financial administration.
