The academic qualifications of Bachelor and Licentiate in Theology and Sacred Scripture conferred by the faculties approved by the Holy See, including the UPS, are recognized, at the request of the interested parties, respectively as a university diploma and as university degree (Decree of the President of the Republic, no. 175 of 2 February 1994 / Official Gazette no. 62 of 16.03.1994).
For academic degrees in other disciplines, since the Holy See also adheres to the Bologna process, it is necessary to request recognition in the manner prescribed by the Congregation for Catholic Education, the Secretariat of State of His Holiness and the relevant Embassy at the Holy See.
