To reflect with the participants on the ministerial implications linked to the current crisis existing in the Catholic Church. To establish together what is required for the construction of a protective culture of the very young to prevent abuse.
ARGOMENTI
1. The state of the present situation taking place in the Church today and the root causes of the crisis. 2. God's Little Ones:" Who are vulnerable in our society and how they appear. The circumstances of small children and all vulnerable people. The different family types and 1 the roles given to children in our respective societies. The risk factors and the means taken to protect the vulnerable in our societies and in the Church. 3. The different forms of abuse and maltreatment that the young and vulnerable may be exposed to. The consequences of abuse on such people and on their environment. The existing types of therapies and accompaniment. 4. What it is to be abused, what motivates abuse and the different abusive personality types. The different forms of available therapies for chose who abuse. 5. What is necessary to construct safe environments for children and for the vulnerable. The three key words for the prevention of the vulnerable: Prevention, Intervention, and Education. The notions of affective and spiritual maturity, the respect of the boundaries of intimacy, the exercise of power and authority as well as the necessary ministerial attitudes: respect and the dignity of the other, empathy etc.
