This Licentiate cycle is one of the specialized study paths offered by the Faculty of Theology. It aims to prepare students for teaching theological disciplines in University Faculties and Ecclesiastical Centers of Higher Studies, as well as for carrying out specialized apostolates in the fields of religious education, youth ministry, catechesis, and spiritual animation.
The second cycle of the Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology is characterized by the study of the essential contents of the Christian message, especially Christological and Mariological, and its development. It prepares teachers and experts in Dogmatic Theology; it cultivates a systematic reflection on faith, in dialogue with the challenges of the Church and the contemporary world to make it communicable (pastoral dimension), valid (moral dimension), and fruitful (spiritual dimension). It includes privileged study plans in the Christological, Mariological, ecclesiological-ecumenical, liturgical-sacramental fields.
The specialization path in theological research, common to all paths, aims to guide students to scientific maturity in research and teaching of theological disciplines.
